Therapy Dog Training

In today’s world, Stress affects EVERYONE—but it can be ESPECIALLY Overwhelming for individuals in hospitals, hospice care, retirement homes, schools & other care settings. Studies show that visits from Therapy Dogs can DRAMATICALLY boost mood & emotional well-being!

If YOUR Dog has a friendly, calm demeanor & feels comfortable being handled by strangers, they could be an IDEAL candidate for Therapy Work. While Therapy Dogs are NOT trained to perform specific tasks, they must be well-mannered, obedient & ready to provide Comfort to those who need it most.

Therapy Animals ARE allowed in certain areas where pets typically aren’t, but they have fewer protections than Service Animals. Most facilities Require Therapy Dogs to be well-behaved & capable of working in high-stress environments. Although not all places Mandate Certification, I HIGHLY Recommend that all Therapy Dogs pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluation to ensure they have the temperament & skills necessary to excel.

I can help train YOUR Dog to behave Confidently in public, remain Calm around Distractions & be Comfortable Interacting with Strangers. As an AKC-Approved Evaluator, I’m also qualified to teach & assess the CGC Evaluation, ensuring YOUR Dog becomes a well-mannered member of society & a source of comfort for those in need!

Emotional Support Dog Training

Emotional Support Animals (ESA), particularly Dogs, play a VITAL Role in improving the lives of their Handlers. They can help ease feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression & other mental health challenges by providing consistent Comfort & Support. However, ESA’s are NOT trained to perform specific tasks, which is a key distinction from Service Dogs.

Because of this difference, ESA’s are NOT protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) & have Limited Public Access. They are generally NOT allowed in public places like stores, restaurants, or on flights. However, they ARE legally permitted in ALL residential buildings—even those that are NOT pet-friendly.

Training YOUR Dog to be an ESA can significantly enhance YOUR quality of life. An ESA can help Reduce & offer Comfort during difficult times. They are sensitive to YOUR Emotional Changes & Respond by staying close to YOU when YOU need them most.

I can help facilitate YOUR Dog’s Training to recognize these emotional shifts & customize their responses to provide the Comfort YOU need in the MOST Effective way possible!
